System Support Offerings

The role of the senior systems manager is usually held by the Director of Information Technology (IT) in larger organizations. In small business there is usually no such person. The purpose of the TEAM Systems Support Agreement is to provide the same type of expertise on a part-time basis. The TEAM System Support program is proactive – i.e., we prevent problems rather than the inconvenient alternative - where computer users tend to act in a fire-fighting mode – trying to solve problems as they occur, often creating delays in getting the job done.

We know that each TEAM client is different. Each has unique staff expertise, software application packages and a different hardware configuration. Therefore, this agreement is tailored to the specific client environment.

The TEAM Computer Systems, Inc. Proactive Systems Support includes:
  • VPN Monitoring of your System - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • Review and discuss system issues with users

  • Check computer / server operation, disk usage, virus status, system events, backup status, etc.

  • Check and test the backup

  • Review system configuration settings – if changed by client

  • Check/test email and Internet access

  • Answer routine user questions

  • Check/test UPS battery

  • Respond to routine problems while on site

  • Maintain system documentation – if/when/after it is developed

  • Telephone and Email support - unlimited "hotline" type (short duration consults with client), usually 15 minute or less


Consulting Rate Options

With System Support Agreement:

Standard consulting rate
$150 / hr
Prepaid Block of Time
$115 / hr (Systems Support contract rate)
Billable
$125 / hr (Systems Support contract rate)
Telephone/E-mail consults
$50 / call – if not under support agreement (15 minute maximum)
  • TEAM will quote flat rate / project rate where appropriate.

  • Please note: Travel time is billable, unless the on-site time is greater than 4 hours.

  • The annual prepaid fee is based upon the current system in place and the level of expertise within your organization.

  • Prepaid "blocks of time" may be purchased at $115 per hour in denominations of 5 or 10 hours. These blocks are used when tasks become greater than short answer/response (the equivalent of 15 or less minutes - such as phone consults, email consults or short discussions).
